If you are looking for a European city to spend a week, Amsterdam is THE city. Amsterdam has always been a popular holiday hotspot. Why not? It is fun. It sparkles with numerous attractions. Almost everything a traveler could ask for is here: stunning scenery, rich history, warm and friendly locals, vibrant nightlife, great museums, and many more. Here are some tips to have a great week in Dublin, Ireland:

If you stay a bit longer in Amsterdam, say seven to nine days, you visit the city’s many museums such as the famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. Youmay also want to visit Anne Frank House, Stedelijk Museum, Sex Museum, and Hash Marihuana Hemp Museum. The city has a huge collection of museums, ranging from masterpieces of art to porn, vodka and cannabis. The more popular museumscan get very crowded in the summer peak season, so it’s worth exploring advance tickets or getting there off-peak.

If you are visiting the city during spring, spend your days visiting gardens and smelling blooming flowers, sightseeing tours where you appreciate the city’s magnificent architecture, explore the beautiful canals, and do your shopping. Enjoy the Amsterdam nightlife by eating out in excellent restaurants and partying in the city’s lively bars and clubs.

You should also visit the much-hyped coffee shops, have a walking tour, and try local and international cuisine. Try the famous Dutch cheese, stroopwafel (syrup waffle), pannekoeken (Dutch pancakes), poffertjes (smaller puffed pancakes), and Vlaamse frites (Flemish fries).

You may have heard about Amsterdam’s notorious Red Light District and quite frankly, everything you have heard is true. From erotic museums to sex shops to brothels, this vivacious neighborhood leaves nothing to your imagination. But to put rumors to rest, you must check the district out for yourself.
