Amsterdam has always been a popular holiday hotspot. Why not? Almost everything a traveler could ask for is here: stunning scenery, rich history, warm and friendly locals, vibrant nightlife, great museums, and many more. And too often, the difficult part of the travel is what to do in the Dutch capital first. Below are suggested Amsterdam itineraries, depending on the length of your stay:

2 to 3 days
You will need a few days in the capital just to have a clear idea of what the vibrant Amsterdam offers. When staying in the city for 2 to three days, we suggest you hire a bike and then explore the canal grids. You should also visit the much-hyped coffee shops, have a walking tour, and try local and international cuisine. And if you dare, have a taste of the city’s i8nfamous red light district.

7 to 9 days
If you stay a bit longer in Amsterdam, say seven to nine days, you visit the city’s many museums such as the famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. If you are visiting the city during spring, spend your days visiting gardens and smelling blooming flowers, sightseeing tours where you appreciate the city’s magnificent architecture, explore the beautiful canals, and do your shopping. Enjoy the Amsterdam nightlife by eating out in excellent restaurants and partying in the city’s lively bars and clubs.
Two weeks or more
If you are spending two weeks or more in Amsterdam, follow the itinerary for 7-9 days and then visit other destinations in the Netherlands.
Visit the old city of Delft and shop for delftware at city’s factory shops. Then head to the city of Den Haag. You can appreciate its cultural refinement in a day or two. Your next stop should be Rotterdam. Spend your day looking at the interesting architecture of the city. Make sure to experience the city’s nightlife. Spending two days and two nights in the city is ideal. From Rotterdam, head back to Amsterdam.
